Been hearing a lot about Roots Investment lately and am considering using their platform for my investment portfolio. Before I make a decision, I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience with Roots Investment.
What are the benefits of using Roots Investment compared to other platforms? Are there any specific features or advantages that stand out to you? I’m particularly interested in ease of use, returns, and customer support. TIA
Personally, I bought in Roots last year and have experienced excellent gains. My only concern is that their application experience is subpar when compared to some of the larger corporations, and they lack some of the functionality that others have.
I recently sold a rental property that I bought in 2015 for $15,000. I made some improvements, like installing a new AC unit, new windows, a new roof, and new gutters with covers. Last month, on November 23, I sold it for $107,000 in cash with no closing costs. I’ll figure out my annual net returns once I have all the numbers. I sold it because I’m 70, and my wife wouldn’t know how to manage it. I plan to invest the money in a REIT. The only downside is that I have to pay capital gains taxes.
In my experience, I invested in Roots last year and have seen excellent returns. I have a personal complaint about their application experience, as it seems to be lacking compared to some of the bigger companies. Additionally, they don’t offer some of the features that others do. It’s necessary to go through their Edgar page to find specific information about their holdings, but I’m really fond of the concept and the returns have exceeded 16%. As a result, I plan on investing more.

Personally, using Roots Investment has proven very beneficial to me. Moreover, compared to traditional real estate investments, Roots Investment often requires a lower minimum investment, making it accessible to more people.
