Hello guys,
Why isn’t experianidworks.com mentioned on Experian’s main website, experian.com? If it just redirected to a part of the main site, it would make sense as a simple address. But there are no redirects or links back to experian.com. As someone who works in tech, it bothers me when businesses don’t link their own websites properly. Credit monitoring agencies, more than anyone else, should understand the importance of having a proper website presence and not sending people to unknown domains.
Experianidworks.com is associated with Experian and is used primarily for services related to identity protection and credit monitoring, particularly in situations involving data breaches. It seems that this specific domain is set up to handle the enrollment and management of Experian IdentityWork memberships, which offer additional features for users
I had the same worries and called Experian using the number found on the company’s official website, usa.experian.com. I questioned a representative if credit – Experian IdentityWorks was a valid Experian website. Indeed, this is a genuine Experian website, the agent clarified, but it’s the free website that’s used when a business experiences a data breach and wants to provide free credit monitoring. You cannot utilize the free code that was given, but you may create a free account and pay for credit monitoring on usaexperian.com, which is a different website.
You’re right, it is strange that experianidworks.com isn’t mentioned on Experian’s main site. Moreover, Experian doesn’t advertise experianidworks anywhere on their main website. Clicking experianidworks.com doesn’t also take you to any section of experian.
There are a few possibilities though, maybe it’s an old website, it’s possible experianidworks was an older Experian service that’s no longer active or there’s a chance experianidworks is a separate website offered by a partner company, but it’s still odd there wouldn’t be a link or mention on Experian’s main site.
I’m happy you posed this query. The same thing is what I’m attempting to learn. My personal information is not something I want to enter on a website that turns out to be a phishing hoax.
