Hi there,
I worked in professional sports from 2017 to 2020. When I started with a degree, my pay was only $8 per hour, and I struggled a lot, almost facing homelessness. Recently, at a company related to sports in Florida, I earned $50,000, which was tough.
Now, I am pursuing a Master’s in Computer Science, set to finish next summer. I applied for an internal role in data visualization and analysis and was offered $75,000, the highest salary I have ever had. I checked online and found mixed opinions about whether $75,000 is enough. I am 27, single, and my main expense is high rent due to the Florida market. Should I feel happy about this opportunity? Moving into computer science has been a positive change for me, though it’s been a journey to get here. Is this a good start for me at 26?
