Credit Union vs. Bank

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to figure out if I should go with a credit union or stick with a traditional bank. What’s your take on the differences? Are credit unions really better with fees and customer service, or is it more hype?

Would love to hear your personal experiences or any pros and cons you’ve noticed!

Credit unions are run by their members, which usually means they offer lower fees and better interest rates. They also put a strong emphasis on supporting their local communities. On the other hand, banks operate as businesses looking to make a profit. They generally have more branches and more advanced technology. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages.
