Appreciation for cibc support… happy surprise!

hey everyone,

just wanted to share a little appreciation for cibc’s customer service after an issue i had yesterday.

i was in toronto trying to buy raptors tickets from scalpers who only took cash. my limit was $500, so i tried to withdraw that amount, but there was a $3 fee, which put me over the limit.

called cibc right away, and barely even heard the hold music before a rep helped me raise my limit in under 2 minutes. previously, i was with scotiabank, and if i had this issue there, i probably would’ve waited 30 minutes and missed the tickets and the game.

what could’ve been a hassle actually turned into a good experience thanks to cibc support. just thought i’d share!

hope you had a great time at the game! but honestly, expectations are low these days. with all the fees, it’s like we’re happy for the little ‘wins.’

i had an amazing time, thanks! haha, so true. i wouldn’t pay $16 a month for netflix but have to for banking. for now, my fees are waived since i’m on a student account, but as a full-time worker at 20, i know the no-fee days are limited!

lol glad things worked out!

it’s funny because i just saw a post here about someone unsure about cibc as their first account.

funny enough, i saw that post too! hope they see this one.

meanwhile, i’m here waiting 30 minutes for cibc to pick up my call…
