20 years old, trying to figure out the best financial path

Hey everyone, I’m 20 and living in Seattle. I moved to the U.S. from Ukraine when the war started, so I finished high school here but don’t have a degree.

I started working at the airport as a cabin agent, got promoted to supervisor, and now I’m making $53k a year. I’m not sure if I should just keep working and try to move up to manager (they make around $70k, but who knows how long that’ll take) or if I should look into going to college or learning a trade to make more in the long run.

I’d appreciate any advice. What would you do in my situation?

What kind of career are you aiming for? If you’re thinking about college, what would you want to study?

I don’t have anything specific in mind, but I’d like to learn a skill that pays well. It doesn’t have to be university since I might not even get accepted, but maybe a trade school or community college could be an option.

If you’re open to school, getting a degree or a trade certification could open up way more opportunities and probably get you to a higher salary faster. Do you have any interest in things like IT, trades, or business?
